Are you and your friends debating over whether to have a movie night or a drinking night? Then why not combine the two and play a movie drinking game? There are countless movies that make great drinking games, but in this post, I have rounded up 30 of my absolute favorites. So, grab some popcorn and some drinks, and get ready to play some of the best movie drinking games out there!

We also have an awesome list of the best drinking card games!

1. ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

Movie Drinking Games

Since its initial release in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has become a cult classic. This movie musical is a quirky twist on Frankenstein that remains incredibly popular to this day. What could make this crossdressing sing-along film more entertaining, you ask? Why not turn it into a drinking game?

WHEN TO DRINK

Here are some potential drinking cues you can use for The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but remember, these drinking games are all about creativity!

  • Dr. Frankenfurter has an outfit change
  • A new song starts
  • A motorcycle appears on screen
  • Someone says “Janet” (not including in songs)

2. THE LORD OF THE RINGS

Best movie games

Every fantasy geek on the planet has watched Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy at least once. This epic story has inspired countless modern fantasy books, shows, and movies. What better way to enjoy the series than with some drinks? The Lord of the Rings movie drinking game will get you drunk and will definitely have you seeing these films in a new light.

WHEN TO DRINK

The drinking rules below are broad and cover all three movies in the series. That said, you can easily narrow down the rules to cater to the specific film you are watching.

  • There is a close-up of the ring
  • Someone says, “Hobbit”
  • Gollum says, “My precious”
  • Sam says, “Mr. Frodo”
  • Someone draws a sword
  • A bad guy dies

3. SCREAM

Movie drinking

This 1996 horror film became an instant hit and is now a classic film for every horror lover. The original film kickstarted a series of 6 films with a seventh installment on the way! These films seamlessly blend horror and comedy making for some hilariously ridiculous scenes. Ready to get drunk while watching Ghostface stalk his next murder?

WHEN TO DRINK

These movie drinking game rules are interchangeable for any of the Scream films!

  • A phone rings
  • Someone is stabbed
  • Someone dies
  • A pop culture reference is made
  • Ghostface wipes their knife
  • A character is insulted

4. THE BIG LEBOWSKI

Drinking games for movies

One of my absolute favorite movies to drink along to is The Big Lebowski. The Cohen Bros film is a cult classic and still an immensely popular movie despite being more than 25 years old. The “Dude” spends most of the movie with a White Russian or a joint in his hand, so this is the perfect movie to drink along to!

WHEN TO DRINK

There aren’t too many drinking rules in the Big Lebowski drinking game, but considering that the word “Dude” is said 161 times, you’ll quickly understand why.

  • Someone says, “Dude”
  • Donny dies (finish your drink)
  • Sam Elliot appears on screen

5. MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL

movie drinking game

A 1975 comedy satire of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a movie that will have you spitting out your drink on the floor from laughter. This is a fun movie to watch on its own, but turn it into a drinking game for double the fun!

WHEN TO DRINK

There are plenty of potential drinking rules you could add for Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but here are a few of the best moments!

  • You hear coconuts
  • Someone dies
  • A character breaks the 4th wall
  • The Black Knight loses a limb
  • Someone mentions Camelot

5. THE ROOM

drinking to movies

The Room has been deemed the best bad movie of all time. This laughably awkward movie written, directed, and starred in by Tommy Wiseau is both hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time. Despite its absolutely horrible dialogue and lack of a cohesive storyline, it is still surprisingly watchable (though it is more of a comedy than a drama). You’ll likely need alcohol to even get through this film, so turning it into a drinking game is almost a non-negotiable.

WHEN TO DRINK

The opportunities are endless when making a movie drinking game for The Room. And if you have seen the film before, you’ll know just how repetitive it is.

  • You see a picture of a spoon
  • A character says, “Oh, hi (name of another character)”
  • There is a sex scene
  • A character appears with no introduction
  • Denny is being creepy
  • “You are tearing me apart..” (finish your drink)

6. MEAN GIRLS

mean girls game

The 2004 screenplay by Tina Fey is one of the most iconic and quotable films of all time. While the target audience for Mean Girls is teens, this movie is easily just as enjoyable for adults. If you are ready to down some drinks while watching Cady take on Regina George, the Mean Girls drinking game is for you.

WHEN TO DRINK

Feel free to throw in any new rules. Mean Girls is perfect drinking movie because there are simply so many hilarious and quotable lines!

  • A character gossips about Regina George
  • Someone says, “Fetch”
  • Someone calls Karen stupid
  • A character pronounces “Cady” wrong
  • There is a three-way phone call
  • The “Jingle Bell Rock” song is performed (finish your drink)

7. LEGALLY BLOND

Legally Blonde drinking game

Reese Witherspoon’s iconic portrayal of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde is timeless, and this movie is one of the best casual movie drinking games to play. This film makes and breaks classic “blonde” stereotypes and is really ahead of its time in terms of tackling misogyny.

WHEN TO DRINK

There is quite a bit of repetition in this movie, so creating a drinking game for it is quite easy. Here are some fun drinking rules of Legally Blonde.

  • Harvard is mentioned
  • Legal jargon is used
  • A character mentions a wedding or engagement ring
  • Elle wears a pink outfit
  • HARDCORE MODE: Elle has an outfit change (43 times!)

8. BAD BOYS II

drinking games for movies

This Michael Bay directed cop movie starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is hilarious, action packed, and a bit ridiculous… As with most Michael Bay movies, the movie revolves more around expensive explosions and action than having a cohesive plot, but that is what I love about it! If you are a fan of Bad Boys, you have to try out the Bad Boys II movie drinking game.

WHEN TO DRINK

Drink responsibly when playing this game as there will be plenty of opportunities to drink. Don’t let the small number of rules fool you. You’ll be downing drinks faster than you might expect!

  • There is a slo-mo scene
  • Someone says, “Motherfucker”
  • There is a gunfight

9. STAR WARS

drinking game star wars

This 1977 movie was an instant hit and changed the face of sci-fi forever. If you grew up on Star Wars like I did, you’ll love the fun drinking rules that you can add to the epic film. So grab some drinks, pull out your lightsaber, and prepare to travel far, far away!

WHEN TO DRINK

To make this movie game even more fun, you can prepare some Star Wars-themed cocktails! Here are some rules for when to drink during Star Wars. Keep in mind these rules are meant for A New Hope, but they can easily be transferred to one of the other films.

  • Luke complains about something
  •  “I have a bad feeling about this”
  • You see a lightsaber
  • The Force is mentioned
  • Chewbacca Wookie yells

10. SHREK

best movie drinking games

A 2001 animated film with a soundtrack that is nostalgic for anyone over the age of 25, Shrek follows the journey of an ogre and his donkey companion. Playing the movie as a drinking game is a fun way to reimagine the children’s film as an adult!

WHEN TO DRINK

The Shrek drinking game is loads of fun! Ready to channel your inner ogre? Here are the rules for the movie drinking game.

  • Shrek’s swamp is mentioned
  • Shrek says something sarcastic
  • A song from Shrek’s iconic soundtrack plays
  • Shrek gets annoyed with Donkey

11. ZOOLANDER

movie games to drink

Zoolander is a comedy film that satirizes the fashion industry, centering around a dim-witted male model, Derek Zoolander, played by Ben Stiller. This movie is absurdly funny and is stocked full of memorable and quotable phrases.

WHEN TO DRINK

You might lose some brain cells just from watching Zoolander, so why not add a bit of drinking into the mix?

  • A word is not said correctly
  • A celebrity cameo occurs
  • Someone says or Zoolander does “Blue Steel”
  • A character has their photo taken

12. TITANIC

movie drinking games

James Cameron’s 3-hour and 14-minute Oscar-winning film follows a fictional love story centered around the real story of the Titanic shipwreck. This movie has excellent acting, amazing storytelling, and (for its time) amazing special effects. All that said, Titanic is long and can be a bit boring at times. My recommendation? Turn it into a drinking game to spice things up!

WHEN TO DRINK

You’ll be taking quite a few drinks during this movie with the following rules. Luckily, with almost 3.5 hours of run time, you’ll have more than enough time to sober up!

  • The Titanic is mentioned
  • A character is drinking alcohol
  • You see the “Heart of the Ocean” necklace
  • Ship hits an iceberg (finish your drink)
  • Rose is naked (finish your drink)

13. HOME ALONE

Movie games for drinking

Another kid’s movie that makes a great drinking game is the Christmas classic Home Alone. Kevin McCallister is accidentally left behind when his family goes on vacation for Christmas, leading to a hilarious battle between him and two burglars.

WHEN TO DRINK

You’ll definitely want to pace yourself when playing this drinking game, as you’ll be taking sips pretty often.

  • Kevin says a bad word (shut up, jerk, crap, etc.)
  • A character gets hit or falls
  • There is a close-up shot of Kevin’s face
  • Kevin creates a booby trap

14. ANCHORMAN

A hilarious comedy film set in the 1970s, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy depicts the competitive and absurd world of broadcast news. This film has a stacked cast, starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, and Ben Stiller, to name just a few. This is a perfect movie drinking game, especially if you have seen the movie a few times and wanna take your watch party to the next level.

  • Brick says something weird
  • Ron Burgandy says his own name
  • A street brawl occurs (finish your drink)

15. RUSH HOUR

Best movie drinking games

Rush Hour is one of my personal favorite cop movies of all time. This 1998 film is a blend of comedy and action and stars Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. You’ll be laughing out loud without any alcohol, so you can only imagine how fun this film will be with a few drinks in your system.

WHEN TO DRINK

Rush Hour is easily one of the most quotable movies of all time, and it makes for the perfect movie game. Here are some fun moments to take a drink during the film.

  • Someone does or says something racist
  • Jackie Chan does something awesome
  • Chris Tucker says, “Man!”
  • Someone pulls out a gun
  • “My Daddy Once Caught a Bullet with his Bare Hands” (finish your drink)

16. DAZED AND CONFUSED

Movie drinking games

Yet another movie to have some drinks alongside is Dazed and Confused. A coming-of-age film set in the 1970s, Dazed and Confused is a cult classic. This is not only a great movie all around but also the breakout role for Mathew McConaughey. His iconic phrase, “Alright, alright, alright,” was coined during this film and was actually improvised.

WHEN TO DRINK

You’ll feel immersed in the culture of the film by turning Dazed and Confused into a movie drinking game.

  • A character drinks or does drugs
  • Someone gets “paddled”
  • Someone says, “Shotgun”
  • A classic rock song plays

17. AIRPLANE

drinking games to movies

Leslie Nielson’s comedy style is eternally hilarious. And if I summed his acting up into a single film, it would undoubtedly be the 1980 film Airplane. This disaster genre parody is ridiculously funny and has some geniuously timed jokes. A perfect movie to enjoy some drinks with.

WHEN TO DRINK

This is another drinking game with very few rules, but you’ll see why when you start watching! There are nearly 3 jokes per minute in the film!

  • A pun is used
  • You see the outside of the plane
  • The plane is safely landed (finish your drink)

18. PULP FICTION

One of my all-time favorite movies, Pulp Fiction, is Tarantino’s crown jewel. This movie has a stacked cast, starring Bruce Willis, Samuel Jackson, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, and even Quentin Tarantino himself! There are too many iconic scenes to count in this film, and it is easily one of the most quotable films ever made. While alcohol is not required for Pulp Fiction, it sure will elevate your viewing experience!

WHEN TO DRINK

Pulp Fiction is on the top 20 list of films with the most “F-Bombs”. So, if you want to challenge yourself, drink every time an F-word is said. Here are some alternative drinking rules.

  • Someone smokes, drinks, or does drugs
  • Jules recites the Bible (finish your drink)

19. SUPERBAD

movie games

Superbad, a coming-of-age comedy starring Jonah Hill and Michael Cera, is a hilarious exploration of friendship, high school antics, and the quest for an absolutely legendary party. This is honestly the perfect movie to drink to, as the main characters get into some really embarrassing and cringe-worthy moments that you can’t help laughing out loud to.

WHEN TO DRINK

Get ready for a wild ride as you drink while watching Superbad. Here are the drinking rules to follow:

  • Someone drinks or does drugs
  • Someone refers to a penis
  • A character says, “Mclovin”
  • HARDCORE MODE: Someone says the F word (187 times!)

20. THE PRINCESS BRIDE

A classic movie that is perfect for a night in with some drinks is The Princess Bride. The world that William Goldman explores themes like love, revenge, cleverness, loyalty… and so much more packed into a single 1.5-hour film. While this is one of those movies you can thoroughly enjoy without a single drop of alcohol, drinking while watching The Princess Bride can only make the experience of watching this film that much sweeter.

WHEN TO DRINK

There are some super fun catchphrases that occur throughout the movie, so it only makes sense to drink along with some of these. Plus, Andre the Giant’s role in the movie makes for another great opportunity to drink!

  • You hear “love” or ”as you wish”
  • Indigo Montoya says, “My Name Is Inigo Montoya”, “You Killed My Father”, “Prepare to Die”
  • Someone falls or gets knocked out
  • Andre the Giant displays his strength

21. NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET

movie drinking game

You’ll likely have nightmares for weeks after watching Nightmare on Elm Street. I sure did after watching it for the first time! This classic horror film follows a group of teenagers who are hunted down by Freddy Krueger in their dreams. What better way to enjoy this creepy horror movie than with a few alcoholic beverages?

WHEN TO DRINK

  • A character falls asleep
  • You see, Freddy Kreuger
  • A character dies
  • Someone denies Freddy Kreuger’s existence
  • Freddy says one of his one-liner catchphrases

22. THE GOONIES

Any 80s movie fan will have watched The Goonies at least once. In this film, a group of young boys unexpectedly goes on an adventure in search of the pirate “One-Eyed Willie’s” treasure. It is equally hilarious, action-packed, and thrilling, making for a perfect nostalgic classic. This is a perfect movie for any occasion and also makes a fun drinking game.

Here are some fun drinking rules for the classic 80s movie The Goonies.

  • Chunk eats or talks about food
  • Someone is mean to Sloth
  • Someone mentions the Fratelli’s
  • You see a map
  • Chunk does the “Truffle Shuffle” (finish your drink)

23. AMERICAN PIE

One of the raunchiest teen comedies of all-time, American Pie is an absolute classic film. This 1999 coming-of-age film is not a film you would EVER want to watch with your kids (or your parents), but it is perfect for a movie night with friends. To make this sex-filled cult classic even more entertaining, watch it while drinking a few beverages.

WHEN TO DRINK

There are plenty of opportunities to drink during an American Pie drinking game. Here are a few of my favorite rules.

  • Someone says the word “sex”
  • A character is drinking on screen
  • You hear, “This one time at band camp”
  • The “pie scene” (finish your drink)
  • Nudity (Chug for the duration)

24. JURASSIC PARK

movie drinking game

Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park is a timeless adventure that brought dinosaurs to life on the big screen. There have been many iterations of Jurassic Park since the original movie was released in 1993. Wow! Has it been that long already? But just because this movie is over 30 years old doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it any less. In fact, if you want to spice up the movie watching experience a little bit, grab yourself some booze for this dino-sized game.

WHEN TO DRINK

Drinking some alcohol while watching dinosaurs run around? That sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it? Here are the drinking rules to keep in mind when watching Jurassic Park:

  • You hear the Jurassic Park theme music
  • Samuel L. Jackson has a cigarette in his mouth
  • You see the amber mosquito cane

25. THE HANGOVER

Hangover drinking game

There’s something fitting about drinking alcohol while watching a movie titled The Hangover. The Hangover is a classic hilarious movie to watch in the company of friends. This is one of those movies that will have you rolling around in laughter as you listen to dirty joke after dirty joke. This movie is definitely not for those who can’t take a joke! And with a few drinks in your system, you’ll find that you’ve never laughed harder!

WHEN TO DRINK

There are too many moments to choose from when deciding when to drink when watching The Hangover, but this is a great list to get you started.

  • A character says, “Remember”
  • Alan says a “clean” swear word
  • You see a famous Vegas casino
  • HARDCORE MODE: Someone says Doug

26. 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN

Honestly, every time I rewatch 40 Year Old Virgin, I’m reminded of just how amazing this movie is. It’s heartfelt, unique, and, of course, downright hilarious. In this 2-hour movie, you follow the adventures of Andy Stitzer, a 40-year-old virgin whose coworkers try their best to get him laid. There are some comedy gold scenes scattered throughout the film, including the iconic chest-waxing scene (did you know that Steve Carrell actually waxed his chest for this?)!

WHEN TO DRINK

In my opinion, these are the best moments to drink while watching the movie. You’ll be getting buzzed and even drunk in no time!

  • Steve Carrell says something nerdy
  • You hear the word “virgin”
  • Andy fails at having sex
  • Andy loses his virginity (finish your drink)

27. TWILIGHT

Twilight movie drinking game

There’s something about watching subpar films as a drinking game. Twilight definitely falls into this category, but there’s no denying its captivation. After all, Edward is a sparkly vampire – and what’s more captivating than that? Although not meant to be a comedy, the premise is just ridiculous enough that you can turn it into a funny evening as you binge the Twilight series (and alcohol).

WHEN TO DRINK

While these drinking rules are best suited for the first Twilight film, you can easily apply them to all five films if you want to binge all of them!

  • A character says “vampire”
  • Someone sparkles
  • Bella touches her hair
  • You laugh at something that isn’t supposed to be funny (finish your drink)

28. MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

MCU Drinking Game

Looking for an entire collection of movies to watch and get drunk at the same time? Try a Marvel film! While each MCU movie might be different, they all fall under the same universe, so it’s super easy to binge and watch once you get into it. Within the MCU, you can find some pretty awesome films and others that are pretty forgettable. But whatever film you watch, you can easily turn it into a drinking game to make the night even more entertaining.

WHEN TO DRINK

I know the MCU is a pretty broad category, but since they all follow a basic structure, you can easily apply the same movie drinking rules to every Marvel movie. Here are the drinking rules to follow.

  • A character puts on or takes off a super suit
  • Expensive damage to building(s) occurs
  • A character talks to an AI
  • A non-title character superhero appears
  • A new villain appears
  • A civilian is saved from certain death
  • Stan Lee makes a cameo (finish your drink)

29. BACK TO THE FUTURE

Back to the Future Drinking Game

A classic movie that never gets old is Back to the Future. This movie is one you can watch even when you’re in the foulest of moods, and you’ll be feeling upbeat again in no time. If you want to make Marty’s adventure of trying to get his parents back together all the more fun, turn it into a boozy game!

  • You see a clock
  • Marty travels in time (finish your drink)

Die Hard Movie Drinking Game

Bruce Willis as John McClane in Die Hard has become an iconic figure in the action movie genre. But more than a simple action film, Die Hard has become a favorite Christmas movie for fans around the world – including myself! This classic 1988 film is packed with suspense, explosions, and memorable one-liners (which you’ll obviously have to finish your drink to!).

WHEN TO DRINK

Die Hard is an absolute rollercoaster of a film to watch around the Christmas holidays. With a beer or eggnog in hand, here are the movie drinking rules for Die Hard:

  • McClane says, “Yippi ka ye motherf****r” (finish your drink)

31. ELF

Elf movie drinking game

If you’ve gathered with your friends for Christmas, what better movie to watch than Elf? Elf is one of those ridiculous movies that has become a classic over time. Even without a drink, this movie is probably one of the most entertaining movies out there. You’ll be laughing out loud with your friends and family in moments like Buddy fighting fake Santa to Buddy sitting on Papa Elf’s lap and everything in between.

WHEN TO DRINK

There’s so much comedy gold scattered throughout the entirety of the movie that you could probably drink for every second of it. But don’t worry; we’re not trying to get you alcohol poisoning. Here are the key moments you should take a drink.

  • Buddy says, “Santa”
  • Buddy eats candy
  • Buddy says, “Christmas cheer”
  • Buddy’s dad gets annoyed
  • Buddy chugs 3 liters of soda (chug, chug, chug!)

Munchkin Harry Potter is a Harry Potter board game mashup of traditional Munchkin and the Wizarding World. HOW TO PLAY

Players will take turns fighting monsters, searching rooms, and playing cards. The goal of the Munchkin Harry Potter is to reach level 10, but to do so and win you must defeat a monster. 10. CODENAMES: HARRY POTTER

QUICK FACTS

  • Cost: $24.99
  • Players: 2+
  • Objective: Find all 15 Order of the Phoenix Members before time runs out.

In Codenames: Harry Potter players will split into two teams. Players will then take turns giving clues for the other side to correctly guess the members needed. Once all 15 of the members from both sides of the board are found, the players all win. Watch out! There are Ministry Officials and, even worse, a death eater on the loose! This fun Harry Potter game is a fun twist on classic Codenames.

HOW TO PLAY

Players will take turns giving their opposing teammates a single-word clue, followed by a number of cards this clue applies to. The opposing team will then think and discuss the clue before touching a tile to indicate a guess. If it was a Phoenix Member,  they are one step closer to winning and get to guess again. When it is a Ministry Official, they lose time and have to end the turn immediately. If it is the dreaded death eater, you have lost the game. Once finished their turn it is time for the other team to follow suit and complete their turn in the same fashion. If players manage to get all 15 members found before the end of the game, they win!

HOW TO PLAY

Each player will choose their character and then take turns asking questions about them. On a player’s turn, they will ask a single yes or no question to their opponent. Their opponent will then answer honestly the question. The player will then go through their remaining choices and narrow them down by flipping them closed if they do not fit with the answers to their questions. The first player to ask the opponent if their character is “so and so” and be correct wins.

The player may then begin to ask yes or no questions to determine what they have on their headband. Ricky Casino is an excellent online casino, with more than 2,000+ slot games, plenty of table games, live dealer games, and even demo versions so you can play risk-free to your heart’s content.

It comes #1 in my list of best online casinos, and you will see why as you take a look at my in-depth review covering various important aspects.

Games: 10/10

Ricky Casino offers a huge collection of casino games that will please anyone from a beginner to the most avid player. With over 2,000 games to choose from, spanning pokies, progressive jackpots, roulette, blackjack, and video poker, you are certain to find something that is up your alley.

Ricky Casino’s games are developed by the best in the business – gaming giants like Micrograming, SoftSwiss, and NetEnt, just to name a few. When I tested over 70 titles, I could tell each game has been painstakingly created, and therefore are of the highest quality in terms of graphics, design, characters, and playability.

Bonuses: 9.7/10

Many casino players enjoy welcome offers, where you can receive free bonuses. This allows you to play more without spending extra money, and pick up additional chances to win a big jackpot. Ricky Casino does not disappoint, with a generous offer of up to $7,500 bonus plus 550 free spins, spread across the first 10 deposits. This is how the bonuses can be claimed by new users:

  • 1st Deposit – 100% Up To $500 / 240 USDT + 100 Free Spins.
  • 2nd Deposit – 50% Up To $500 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins.
  • 3rd Deposit – 50% Up To $1,000 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins.
  • 4th Deposit – 50% Up To $1,000 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins.
  • 5th Deposit – 50% Up To $1,000 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins.
  • 6th Deposit – 50% Up To $1,000 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins. Once per day.
  • 7th Deposit – 50% Up To $1,000 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins. Once per day.
  • 8th Deposit – 50% Up To $500 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins. Once per day.
  • 9th Deposit – 50% Up To $500 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins. Once per day.
  • 10th Deposit – 50% Up To $500 / 240 USDT + 50 Free Spins. Once per day.

From this breakdown, you can see that the first deposit is a 100% bonus, while the remaining 9 deposits are only 50%. I took advantage of this by making a larger deposit on my first go. That way I received more bonus than if I deposited the same amount  spread over a few deposits.

Note that the minimum deposit to receive the bonuses is $30. Additionally, keep in mind that the free spins are applied to one particular slot game “All Lucky Clovers 5”. I enjoyed playing this slot, especially because it was free to play!

One of the great things about Ricky Casino is that they offer ongoing bonuses even after your welcome offer is completed. These change from time to time, but currently if you deposit on a Tuesday, you will receive a 100% deposit bonus, on Wednesdays you receive 200 free spins with a $30 deposit, and on Fridays you receive 50% deposit bonus. If you are a high roller, and make large deposits (over $1,500), then you can qualify for the VIP offers; receive 30% bonus on deposit amounts of $1,500 – $3,000.

Deposits and Withdrawals: 9.8/10

Having plenty of banking options are a must for any top casino, and Ricky Casino meets this criteria. There are various methods you can choose to deposit and withdraw money, with no transaction fees whatsoever. The only thing you need to be wary of is the minimum and maximum limits, as shown below.

Mobile Gaming: 9.4/10

Many Ricky Casino users love playing games on their phone as a way to pass time when they’re bored, eg: on public transport, at work, or even on the toilet! Being able to access an online casino on your phone is a huge benefit. Ricky Casino does not yet have a mobile app, but you can easily visit the casino using your internet browser on your phone. When I tested the casino on my phone and iPad, I found that the site is perfectly optimised for each device, and it runs smoothly, with no delays or latency issues.

Customer Support: 10/10

Ricky Casino has excellent customer service, and I scored them a full 10 out of 10 in this regard. There is a dedicated live chat support team available 24/7, and they are extremely helpful, no matter what your issue. They are staffed by real customer support agents, and not chatbots, so you can trust they understand what you are asking.

If you prefer to communicate using email, that’s another option available to you. Simply email [email protected], and they will respond when they get to your email. This can take up to a few hours, but often it happens much quicker. When I tested out their email responsiveness, I received a reply in under an hour.

Security and Licensing: 9.5/10

Ricky Casino is a legitimate and secure online casino. It has an authoritative license from Curacao, an international standard that guarantees the most honest and transparent interaction with players. It also guarantees that all actions, policy, and framework of the casino are performed legally. You can play at Ricky Casino without worrying about safety issues.

How to Play King-Jack Suited in Cash Games

When you get dealt King-Jack suited, there’s a good chance you’ll be seeing a flop.

So, I wrote this guide to help you make more money with this hand. Here’s what you’re going to learn:

  • How to Play King-Jack Suited Preflop
  • 3 Tips for When You Miss the Flop (As the Preflop Raiser)
  • 3 Tips for When You Hit the Flop

Let’s dive in!

How to Play King-Jack Suited Preflop

Let’s first take a look at how you should be approaching playing King-Jack suited preflop in almost all situations.

Here are the table positions for your reference:

positions for ace queen 3-betting reference

Unopened Pots

King-Jack suited is a very strong preflop hand, ranking among the top 5-7% of hands. Because of this, it should be open-raised from every position.

Limping is off-limits! Unless you want to win less money, of course.

Against a Raise

The strategy you should employ when facing a raise should depend on:

  • Your position
  • The raiser’s position

Let’s split this section into three groups:

1. When you’re seated in Middle Position through Button

There are two schools of thought when it comes to playing from these positions generally, both of which can be good:

  1. Play a 3-bet only strategy.
  2. Play a mixed strategy that has both 3-bets and cold-calls.

Both strategies have extremely similar expected value (EV) as long as you apply the appropriate postflop strategy.

If you want to choose a 3-bet or fold strategy, you will want to always 3-bet with KJs. If you’re using a mixed strategy, then you will want to call with KJs as it’s not quite strong enough to be a clear 3-bet for value, nor is it weak enough to 3-bet as a semi-bluff.

2. From the Small Blind

If you play King-Jack suited from the Small Blind when facing a raise, you should always find the 3-bet. Without going into the math, it’s simply strong enough to 3-bet as part of a linear range.

3. From the Big Blind

When you’re in the Big Blind facing a raise, you should never fold King-Jack suited. You should simply call against every position except the Button and Cutoff. In that case, you should 3-bet for value and protection.

Against a 3-Bet

In highly raked games, which is most poker games, preflop solvers show that King-Jack suited is always strong enough to call the 3-bet.

In some preflop scenarios, it can/should also be used as a 4-bet bluff due to its great blocker properties (blocking strong hands that would continue against a 4-bet, thus increasing the bluff’s success rate).

When you’re facing a 3-bet and have the advantage of being in position, you should always call with King-Jack suited. The one somewhat common exception would be if you’re facing a very tight player who 3-bet to a massive size.

Against a 4-Bet

There are two groups of scenarios that you will find yourself in and they require a different approach:

1. You 3-bet from Middle Position through Button and face a 4-bet from the open-raiser.

You should usually fold in this spot. The exception is if you are on the Button facing a 4-bet from the Cutoff, in which case you can call if you think they have a well-built 4-bet range.

2. You 3-bet from Small Blind or Big Blind.

You should only call in this scenario when the Button is the one doing the 4-betting. Otherwise, make the fold.

Keep in mind that it is important to consider your opponent’s 4-betting tendencies. Against a tight 4-bettor, for example, you can usually comfortably fold King-Jack suited facing the 4-bet, regardless of your/their position.

3 Tips for Playing When You Miss the Flop (As the Preflop Raiser)

Tip #1 – Fire a c-bet when you flop a gutshot, open-ender, or a flush draw

Draws are hands with nut potential, and nutted hands prefer being in as large of a pot as possible. To achieve this goal, it’s best to start building the pot on the flop in case you will hit. You also have a backup plan, which is to win the pot outright by making your opponent fold.

Tip #2 – Fire a c-bet when you flop a double backdoor draw

By double backdoor, I am referring to having both a backdoor straight draw and a backdoor flush draw. These hands are a bit more disguised than your front door draws when they hit.

These hands also act as range balancers when the front door draws hit. By that, I mean that if you don’t fire c-bets on the flop with them, you will be lacking bluffs when the front door draws hit. And if you play against good players on a regular basis, they may catch on to this imbalance.

Tip #3 – If you whiff the flop completely, it’s best to check and give up

I’m talking about when you have on boards such as or .

On boards like these, King-Jack might have a backdoor straight draw, but because the board is so connected and overall better for the caller’s range, your strategy should be more passive in these situations.

3 Tips for Playing When You Hit the Flop

Tip #1 – Pot control after hitting a second pair in a single raised pot

When the stack-to-pot ratio is high, like in a single raised pot, it’s best to check and pot control with second pairs that are as invulnerable as a Jack or a King. The reason for that is that by betting you don’t get that much value from worse hands, you give some value to better hands, and don’t deny too much equity.

So, say you open-raise from the Cutoff and the Big Blind calls. The flop comes . It’s better to check back with your King-Jack suited.

Tip #2 – Always fast-play your strong hands

Poker is a game built around getting value when you have a strong hand. Basically, everything a solver does is designed to get paid when it is at the top of its range.

This means that you should almost always lean towards building the pot immediately. When you flop two pair, trips, a straight, or a flush, you should always fast-play your hand.

Tip #3 – Always c-bet with flopped top pairs

A top pair on the flop is a very strong hand that can get a lot of value with a c-bet. This is especially true for top pair with strong kickers.

This means that when holding King-Jack suited on a or type of board, it’s a good idea to start building the pot right from the flop. There are a lot of worse hands that you will get value from right away.

Final Thoughts

King-Jack suited is a highly versatile hand with great nut potential so you will have a lot of fun playing it in a variety of situations.
