San Diego Pride Parade and Festival

There’s no exaggeration in saying this was one of San Diego’s biggest weekends. The San Diego Pride Parade is known to be one of the city’s largest annual events. Sycuan Casino Resort was thrilled to participate in the San Diego Pride Parade and Festival starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20.

Over 100 Team Sycuan attendees colored the San Diego Pride Parade with rainbow balloons, flags and excitement. Since 2018, Sycuan Casino Resort pridefully joined the San Diego Pride Parade to celebrate love and equality, supporting the LGBTQIA+ rights and movement.

LGBTQIA+ members and allies carried a 300 ft Pride flag over their heads, leading the parade to the festival. The parade began at the Hillcrest Pride Flag between University Ave. and Normal St. and ended at Balboa Park.

As the parade concluded, Sycuan Casino Resort members waited for the festivalgoers at their energetic and dynamic booth. Festivalgoers played the Plinko machine and watched the chip bounce unpredictably until winning a themed prize.

At both the parade and festival, the Sycuan team members were devoted to spreading love and joy, ensuring people know Sycuan Casino Resort is a welcoming place for the LGBTQIA+ community to play, dine or seek live entertainment.

In Summary

Hundreds of people celebrated San Diego Pride throughout the streets of Hillcrest and Balboa Park. Team Sycuan lived loud and proud during the parade and festival, demonstrating an unwavering support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Sycuan Casino Resort proudly sponsored San Diego Pride with a $15,000 donation for the mission, parade, and festival.

Night Ranger at the Island Resort and Casino

America’s hardest-working band, Night Ranger, is back to prove once again that you can still rock in America. Catch these arena rock favorites this Rocktober when they return to The Island Showroom for a two-night engagement on the 18th and 19th.

There’s No Secret to Their Success

It’s been 42 years since the release of Night Ranger’s first album, Dawn Patrol. That debut put the band squarely on the map with two smash hits: “Sing Me Away” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me.”

Their 1983 follow-up, Midnight Madness, went even further to firmly establish Night Ranger as a headlining act with album opener “(You Can Still) Rock in America” and the band’s biggest hit, “Sister Christian.”

Since their unparalleled streak of hit records in the ’80s, Night Ranger has been motorin’ non-stop with equal parts hard work and hard rock.

Founding members Jack Blades, Kelly Keagy and Brad Gillis, joined by guitarist Kerri Kelli and keyboardist Eric Levy, continue to tour relentlessly. These icons haven’t slowed down one bit and are still one of the best live acts around.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Night Ranger released a live album titled 40 Years and a Night with Contemporary Youth Orchestra. This special collaboration features all your favorite Night Ranger hits, played with an 80-piece orchestra consisting of 12- to 18-year-old student musicians from Ohio.

When You Close Your Eyes, Do You Dream About These Hits?

Night Ranger has sold over 17 million albums worldwide, performed on more than 4,000 stages and captivated more than one billion radio listeners. They’ve scored two platinum records, one gold record and 12 singles on the U.S. charts.

Since then, their popularity has only grown thanks to their instantly recognizable radio hits and signature album tracks. Head down sentimental street with some of these favorites:

Adam is well on his way to becoming a household name. He already has a podcast, a comedy album and several recent TV and film appearances to his credit.

Adam has the ability to shift characters, voices and narratives on a dime. That, along with the unexpected, heartfelt moments injected into his stories, will make you laugh and cry until it hurts. Visit AdamFerrara.com for more and see Adam in action here:

Carla Rea

Carla Rea may look like the lady next door, but she’s built an impressive comedy resume over her 25-year career.

As a TV and radio personality, Carla has appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Evening at the Improv and Comedy Central. She’s worked with an A-list of comedic contemporaries, including Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Ellen DeGeneres, Kathleen Madigan and many others.
