BetMGM Delivers ‘The Godfather’ Slot To Michigan Online Casino Players

BetMGM has struck an exclusive partnership agreement with European game studio Atlantic Digital, helping to fuel its expansion.

This newly formed alliance will see Atlantic Digital introduce its latest slot game, “The Godfather,” exclusively to BetMGM online casino users. The game will make its debut in Michigan.

“The Godfather” is an iconic American mafia movie that debuted in 1972. Although the game does not completely depict the movie, the game developer has promised it will offer an exciting experience to players, as it will include the fictional character Don Corleone.

The online slot game offers free spins, cash prizes and other bonuses that are guaranteed as well.

Subsequently, BetMGM will be granted access to Atlantic Digital’s game portfolio, which will be available to BetMGM’s customers in other legal online casino states.

With these additions, players will have more than 1,500 game titles.

BetMGM and Atlantic Digital are excited about collaboration

Oliver Bartlett, director of gaming at BetMGM, expressed his excitement at being the first operator to bring the iconic movie-themed game to the US. In a BetMGM news release, Bartlett said:

“’The Godfather’ remains one of the most iconic movies and it is quite fitting that it is the first slot we are offering with Atlantic Digital. BetMGM is proud to be the first to bring ‘The Godfather’ to the US and its exclusive online casino home. We are always looking to partner with brands our customers love and game studios that are creating new and engaging content.”

Sam Hobcraft, CEO of Atlantic Digital, said the company is “incredibly proud to partner with BetMGM and bring our popular branded games to the US market. ’The Godfather’ is just the start. Branded content has always been at the core of the land-based player experience.”

Hobcraft continued: “We at Atlantic Digital are at the forefront of this movement, and, working alongside BetMGM, we will be bringing the highest quality IP online to the US. We couldn’t be more excited about the potential of this partnership and what it could mean for US customers for many years to come.”

‘Godfather’ slot could boost Michigan online casino revenue

Such unique strategies draw in new players and increase traffic to online casinos.

With the new deal, Michigan online casino revenue will likely be up again, having faced declines in July and August.

The August revenue report also indicates MGM Grand Detroit contributed to this dip. The casino saw its gross revenue drop from $48.9 million in July to $44.0 million in August.

BetMGM is also looking beyond the US for growth

This agreement is only one of several that the US operator has lately formed. Last month, it inked an exclusive partnership with software developer NetGaming in Michigan.

BetMGM, which just started a plan to increase its presence in the European market, has achieved strides in that direction. It recently agreed to a new collaboration with Newcastle United. In a statement, the club listed BetMGM as one of its betting partners for the upcoming season.

Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and president of MGM Resorts said recently that offering their services in the UK is a “key step” forward in pursuing its “international growth strategy.” As a result, one may anticipate more innovative partnerships from the iGaming giant.
